As a healthcare practice owner, you’ve probably seen a lot of staff resistance in the business. Resistance is so common that it’s considered a norm in the community, but it doesn’t have to be this way in your practice.
You have to remember that whatever behaviour you tolerate is also the kind of behaviour you get more of. It’s our job as practice owners to never encourage resistance and deal with it at first sight.
In this episode, we’ll give you three bulletproof tactics for dealing with staff resistance. The moment you notice that there is resistance within your team, you have to step up as a leader and handle it professionally.
One of the best things you can do to prevent resistance is to get very clear on your management style in the interview process, so you hire people who are aligned with your vision and there will be fewer instances of resistance.
In this episode of the Practice Acceleration Podcast you’ll learn:
- Why prevention is key to handling staff resistance
- The significance of gaining control of a resistance situation
- The need to have a series of resistance frameworks for your business
Keep in mind that resistance is going to happen, and you should be equipped for dealing with it head-on. We advise you to implement a series of frameworks that serve as your healthcare practice’s guide in case it occurs.
